Just have to say...

Dec 24, 2013, 12:25 PM

this is another merry Christmas for me. The third Christmas after finding I have stage four cancer. Hope everyone has a healthy and happy holiday season. By the way, if you ever find yourself associated with such a dreadful illness you will find you won't have the desire to complain so much about all the small things. Go tigers

Bless you. I just lost my grandmother from cancer and my mom beat a bout with breast cancer. I know the kind of destruction it can do to a family.

Merry Christmas, near ending experiences always make us little more appreciative of all things in life.
Looking forward to sharing many more years reading your posts.
36 years ago in the south Pacific I asked the Lord to let me see one more spring in these hills. I had just heard them pronounce me dead.
I am forever grateful that he saw fit to grant that wish.

THANK YOU FOR ALL YOU DO

Wow, the good Lord granted that wish many times over!!

I appreciate you writing that! My wife was diagnosed last year on Dec 26th with Stage IV Lung Cancer. One year later, despite the odds, she is doing well. A year ago, I never would have guessed that was possible. I hope she has many more with us and your post encouraged me that it is quite possible. God bless you as you continue your fight!

Merry Christmas

We are now in our 5th MERRY CHRISTMAS since having that C bomb dropped on us from the doctor. And yes, we now see the little things as little, and we focus on the majors not the minors. God bless you 54...I hope you have many many more Merry days ahead of you. Keep fighting and keep your chin to the wind!

Wow, I knew there were some great people on T'net. Some of your notes brought tears to my eyes. That doesn't happen often for a 60 year old timer. Yes, there is always hope, my initial report didn't give me much chance but I try to live each day like it may be the last. My doctors all say it is my attitude that keeps the chemo working. I told them that the very day they told me I had cancer it was no longer in my hands. The burden was to much to bear so I gave it to my lord. Must say he has handled it well! And those family members who have to deal with your fumbling and bumbling deserve a star also. So, again thanks for the many kind words and remember there is always hope.

Just celebrated 12th Christmas after stage 3 brain cancer...

You're correct -- small things are not nearly as important as they once were.

Congrats to you and may you celebrated many more Christmases!

"Gamecocks aren’t ready to take college football by storm just yet. They’re not even ready to compete in their own state – Clemson will still own the territory. Gamecocks fans would be smart to keep their heads buried until that time. Avoid talking trash to a much better Clemson program.” -Dustin Tackett

Ive always had a great deal of respect for those who have dealt with that horrible disease. If I am ever in that position, i hope I have the strength and courage that so many of you have displayed.

We so often get caught up in trivial stuff, that we forget about what's important in life. I had a girlfriend with stage 4 cancer. She was at stage 4 when diagnosed. She lived another 13 months. May GOD continue to bless you and your family. I pray you be here next Christmas posting again : )
