Just got back from a funeral at Arlington National Cemetary

Aug 26, 2020, 5:39 PM

Full military honors, caisson, honor guard, 21 gun salute, Taps. Awesome tribute to a true hero who died at the age of 101. He was a torpedo bomber pilot in WWII. Talk about having to have a set of balls.

Still in awe every time I go back and walk around Arlington. When you are up in the D.C. area try to make time to visit there. You won’t be disappointed.

Arlington is amazing

and Taps always bring a tear to my eyes

We had a guy from the Navy play taps at my Dad's funeral, also they folded the flag, both of these tore me up

same for my brother. Toby Keith's American Soldier always brings a lot of tears. I miss him.

Just walking along reading the names and saying thank you is an amazing meditation.

If she's a screamer, she'll get you arrested.

Been there a few times, it is awesome

Last time I was there, we decided to walk to the Lincoln Memorial. "Oh, it looks like it is pretty close."

It is NOT.

Spent some time years ago walking around the cemetery at West Point. Very moving.
