HOLY SHIAT!!!

Top 100 works of the 20th century huh?! Not quite.

Well, I guess I won't read another book that was written in the 20th century, because if that is in the top 100 then the rest you may as well tear up and wipe your ### with. I really wish I could get those few hours of my life back.

What a terrible and pointless read. I'm glad I blew it off when it was assigned in high school.

Sorry had to vent a little.

the great American novel and we would spend the first term studying it. So, cool, csnt wait to get to the bookstore. Was a cure for insomnia in print. After 10 class periods discussing it Is a wonder I was not holed up in the top of Tilman tower shooting random passers by.

fair enough. I think its one of those that if you read at 15, you are hooked forever. i can see that someone reading it at an older age might feel completely different.

Do you mind sharing a book or two that you would put in the 'great' category?

I read that book when I was around 25 or so. I didn't like it, but if I had read it when I was around 14 or 15, I'm sure I would have viewed it differently. It seems like it is really written for teens who feel like they don't really fit in anywhere.
