Just asking...

[15]
Posted: Jan 19, 2016 11:37 AM

If something is TL;DR (too long, didn't read) why waste any effort to reply anything to a post you proudly stated you didn't read? That's just idiotic and asinine, be nice, if it's too long, just move along. I, for one, can do without such commentary.

2019 white level member

I think it says a lot more about the person posting than the

[1]
Posted: Jan 19, 2016 12:03 PM

person typing.

If I want to write a long-ass post then I don't care at all about all the people who don't want to read it.

TL;DR is millennial attention-whoring. That's it.

2019 white level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg

maybe for you, which is fine, but others...

[1]
Posted: Jan 19, 2016 12:05 PM

maybe not so much.

i don't let any of it bother me and wonder at times about those that might.

2019 orange level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg

To be clear, it's never bothered me, but I have decided

[1]
Posted: Jan 19, 2016 12:12 PM

that it smacks of millennial attention-whoring.

There is no universal standard for how long a post should be. Some people want to read, others don't. So if there is no universal standard, then the only thing the T0;LDR is saying is either "My attention span will not permit me to read this" which is an exercise in exhibitionism OR they are saying "My interest level will not sustain me through this entire thing" which is passive-b*tchy.

Again... that doesn't bother me, I just have an opinion of it.

2019 white level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg

you can use any word you like and i'll use the ones i do...

[2]
Posted: Jan 19, 2016 12:17 PM

your truth can be yours, and i'll be happy with mine.

i'd say anyone that finds the need to label in such a way is more than bothered and bothered would be a nice way of putting it.

again, to each...

i'd say anyone that finds the need to label in such a way is more than bothered

Nope. That's arbitrary. It's objectively false to necessarily equate criticism with being bothered. I can be perfectly unmoved by something and make the emotionless, free choice to go out of my way to insult it. If you need to be bothered by something to insult it, that doesn't mean I have to be.

If it bothered me, then I wouldn't be going on about it because the predicted response would be people replying to this with TL;DR.

If there were 100 TL;DR's to this post, and every single post I make for the rest of my life, I wouldn't be bothered at all. I would just have a certain opinion of it. I am merely posting in this thread because, like everyone else here, I wanted to share my opinion. You are trying to undermine my opinion by arbitrarily claiming that in order to have it, I have to be bothered.

2019 white level memberbadge-donor-05yr.jpg

and here you still are, not bothered in the least...

Another hater of Cam. Lol I love it. I'm not even a big Cam fan I pull for San Diego. Just don't get the hating on him. You don't like his alien ears or is it his smile?

I wonder why some people take time to post about things

Posted: Jan 19, 2016 12:14 PM

that they say they don't care for...

then why make a new thread about it?

"I've been working since I was 15 continually until now. I worked 40 hours a week at 15, when it wasn't even legal for 15 year olds to work that many hours."

I don't respond with that
