Jordan Roper

Feb 23, 2016, 10:11 PM

I didn't get to see the game tonight so I have a question after looking at the box score. How does a guard that goes scoreless (doesn't even get to the foul line) play all 40 minutes of the game? I did see he had 6 assist but that's not over the top numbers either. Was he just awesome on the defensive end?

he was the MVP for tech..allowing his guy to score a lot and

also making critical turnovers during the game and before half...brownlee and he are the reason we lost tonight.

Basketball is a team game and one player can't be responsible for the losses. There were opportunities for others to step up and they didn't. We have one player on the team that consistently plays well, none of the others do but show up from time to time. The coach can shoulder the loss but not an individual player.

Consistency starts with better guard play! !

Coming from a guy that has played and watched a lot of BB thru the years, we have to improve the guard position at Clemson or we will never be competitive! ! The 2 guards handle the ball on offense about 80% of the time. Everything flows thru them offensively. Right off the bat, if they can't knock down jumpers the defense sits back and it's really hard to score. When they become a consistent scoring threat, everything changes. Then the middle opens, but even at that they have to be able to deliver the rock on time and in a spot where the bigs can finish. Yes defense, is also an issue, but they have to be complete BB players...floor generals. We haven't had that at Clemson in a really long time!!

WRONG.....Roper should not have been playing..period***

No, he was AWFUL on defense. He got lit up by Smith the entire second half. Was lost more often than not on defense. Yet, Hudson and Devoe sat and watched.

A legitimate question / issue for CBB.***

used only on occasion to see if he can regain it? Also, remember, he had a stroke his first year, so possibly he has health probs. again, still he must sit until he proves he can play effectively again!
