Soccer Signings

Both the Clemson men's and women's soccer teams had a couple 2 players sign letters of intent yesterday.

Played club against Andrew Burnikel's older brother Austin growing up. If he's anything like his brother that'll be a great signing. Fast, tenacious, and a great finisher.

Soccer is the plain sugar cookie of the sports world. Too sweet to be repulsive but basically unexciting and a little lame for being there in the first place.

to point it out anytime soccer is mentioned? I hate baseball and find it to be really boring, but I don't share that opinion when someone posts a baseball thread.

Because behind these threads of illusion, there are some pretty miserable people putting on heirs and they sure like to spread the misery.

I enjoy soccer and I would love to see more coverage of the program.

Was hoping we'd get Haji Wright. He was an absolute killer for the USMNT U17's and Noonan was on him early. Ended up blowing up, I think Schalke 04 in Germany - Jermaine Jones' old club - came in for him.

Wright's probably the best U18 striker in America right now. Would have been a HUUUUGE difference-maker, maybe like Clint Dempsey at Furman, and the kind of guy you don't have around long.

Still looks like some good signings. But you don't get many chances at a Wright.
