Jayron but seperate topic

IE Kearse. When is college football going to catch on like baseball that kids make poor choices or get bad advise. Let them return to school.

Makes no sense.

Well one problem is the timing of the draft vs signing day. Schools fill scholarships based on those guys being gone. If they have a chance to return they are likely doing it without a scholarship.

make an exception to the 85 limit By one (86)

If summer or fall attrition opens a slot they would have to step into it. If the case arises it would block a walk-on from getting a slot.

that would be a nightmare, pretty much every other kid that is eligible would enter the draft, only to return to school and cause a lot of disruption on the roster.

Could you lean on the pre draft NFL assessment? Something like if you dont get a 1-2 round grade you cant leave as an under classment unless you have a degree?

Protect kids against themselves.

Totally agree. If a kid falls into a situation like Kearse if Clemson and Dabo are willing

let the kid come back. Allow the school to let at least 3 players to return to school without counting those 3 kids against the 85 scholarship limit. IMO everybody wins and maybe more kids would get their degree.

With so much money on the table and many of the athletes needing cash for their families several kids go after that green stuff but get screwed in the process.
