Jayron Kearse

Aug 27, 2014, 12:21 PM

I think he will be a huge x factor on how our defense performs this season and for UGA game. He is a big time talent. I rewatched the orange bowl again last night and he was huge for our run defense making some huge plays and big hits. But as far as the passing game he really faultered numerous times. If he can stay focused and learn the playbook it will be huge for our secondary.

IF he starts. He and Johnson are in a heated battle. I think they both play a decent amount. Kearse is actually, from what I've read and heard, one of the biggest film room/study guys on the team. He works really hard off the field. I think you can attribute more of his mistakes to being a freshman than not knowing a system. He is going to be a great player.

he's talked about it in his interviews. he's a risk taker,

the coaches are trying to break him of that.

I thought he was the one who kept getting bit on deep balls. He was always seen running trying to catch up and not fast enough to do it....

Really was that Kearse or was it someone else with a similar name??

We have been hit by a deep ball TD every week it seems for the last 4 years..

I think he will have a big year

the deep ball happens every now and then. We beat teams with it on a consistent basis.

Jayron will be better at choosing when to take risks and i think he will come up with the football a few times this season by causing fumbles with his big hits and taking a risk and coming up with interceptions.

I am not saying we will never get beat deep because it is going to happen.

The fact that he was even in the frame on some of those long TDs indicates that SPEED absolutely isn't an issue. He bit so hard on some of them that's it's a wonder how he was able to get back within 10 yards of the receiver.

Speed definitely not an issue, just being young and looking into the backfield.
