And EJ threw the ball into the chest of a lineman.

The one where he easily got open and caught 3 balls with EJ Manuel as the QB.
Notice he didn't get stiff armed to the ground by someone half his size.

Maybe Sammy will dominate the NFL just like he did for three years against the Gamecocks.....oh, wait!
Actually, Watkins is a super-talented player, as is Clowney. Best wishes to them both as their respective teams will struggle because neither has solid QB play yet.

It seems to me that NFL scouts are smart enough to understand that a WR's performance against 1 team in which the QB and OL struggled doesn't mean anything. Weird.

Yep! That's the answer I was expecting! But of course, you probably always liked to crow about George Rogers never setting foot in the end zone against Clemson, right?

Wrong. You'll never find a single post of mine referring to that. Nice try at a "gotcha", though. It's cute, really.

Then I certainly apologize for that. Best wishes for Sammy and the Jets this year. I still believe that E.J. is not the answer for them this year, but having Spiller and Watkins will help cover some of his deficiencies.

Yes, because a half-assed compliment makes a nice veil for a passive-aggressive jab.
Trying to place nice doesn't change the fact that you're a hypocrite and are willing to trash our players all the while preaching about "respecting your rival." You're a joke.

And you're full of hatred! It absolutely kills you that I don't hate Clemson or SC, doesn't it? So many people here, including you, refuse to give any measure of respect to anyone or anything not associated with Clemson football. How very childish and immature!

Lol. It kills me more that you're too much of a moron to see the real issue.
I don't care who you pull for. It's the fact that you knowingly stir the pot and then act all good-natured when someone calls you on your charade. A true pussy, if I may.
I would say that masquerading as a neutral observer to elicit reactions from people is far more immature than calling you out for the nutless turd you are. Then again, this is only the 10th time we've had this exact same discussion. You should start keeping notes so people don't have to explain the world to you.

Ah, sticks and stones..... Your righteous anger and hatred must prevent you from understanding the difference between a logical response and "stirring the pot". You could really use some good counseling for those anger issues, you know? I'm not a neutral observer, I'm just mature enough to give credit to a rival player or team. You should try it sometimes......it's one of the first steps to becoming a man.

I'm shocked that a clear genius such as yourself can't discern the intent of such comments on my part.
Here's a hint: I believe that Clowney truly sucks as a football player as much as you believe that you're actually offering value here in the form of logical responses and not just being a passive aggressive chickenshit.
Take that how you'd like. Have a blessed day.

ConfessedCoot is the model of what a Coot fan should be here. I don't know whether to thank him or hate him for giving folks like MotorCityBunghole license to stick around in an effort to achieve that level of esteem. Ha

One trick pony: Line up offsides, sidestep lineman, horse collar the QB. Bull rush every play with no technique. He should lead the league in sacks as people scheme away from a real NFL D-Lineman (JJ Watt).
Good thing he threatened the Texans into drafting him.

ESPN is trying to make stories out of anything
Aug 11, 2014, 10:19 AM
|

I am tired of how much scrutiny they are putting on rookies in preseason games. These guys are trying to learn play books, adjust to the culture, new towns, no longer the star on the team in a lot of cases.
It's the NFL, a very tough league for anyone to play in let alone rookies. If I have to see one more darn thing on ESPN about Johnny Football and whether or not he starts for the browns...
No QB should start their first year in the NFL, let them learn how to play in the NFL first.

Well said. Just a thought. If your team is using the preseason to decide their qb then they are probably gonna suck.
