Clemson Opens Practice on Tuesday

Clemson will open preseason practice for Dabo Swinney's first full year as head coach on Tuesday. The team will work out from 6:00 PM to 8:15 PM in the first of 29 preseason practices. Full Story »

He will be looking at a small amount of playing time this season if he is healthy. But, if he is hurt enough to hold him out of camp & possibly get a redshirt this season because of it...he may benefit in the long run.

I know it is hard to say stuff like that, but if he isn't really going to get key playing time this year then it might be best if he redshirts a year and has another four years to hone his skills.

yeah a redshirt could help him acclimate to the speed of the college game a lil better, and it would give more time for his back to heal and be 100%

well his facebook status is as follows "This is my dream aint nothin gon get in my way! Middle tennessee get ready cuz I'm ready bust some heads!"

doesn't sound like a redshirt to me. (I actually know him, i'm not just randomly facebook friends with him)
