My sister in law asked us this at supper.
Without an answer, because we’re all dumbfounded at this point, she pretends to look at a map. Visualizes Oklahoma.
“Okay Oklahoma is here in the middle..”
Takes two steps forward as if she is now standing in the map on oklahlma, turns around to look where she was just standing, points down and to her left..
“Yeah it’s down and to the left.”
First of all, I’m amazed that she was right. Her process was dumb a f but it was right.
Secondly, who in the world thinks and visualizes like that. Just look at the map and point down and to the right. No need to pretend to beam into Oklahoma and then turn and look down and to the left. It was down and to the right the whole time.
Then to explain her self she said
“Well I don’t think in north south, I think In up, down, left, and right. South is up and left is west.”
I just can’t even make this up. I wish I was. But I’m not. I love family supper nights though.

highly intelligent? I like to listen to people like that, can overhear some hilarious stuff. Fun to mess with them too. Lady I work with has a daughter like that, came in one day acting like she was an expert on my breed of dog. I hadn't solicited any advice or even talked about him, but I did managed to convince her that the property terminology was "Rockweiler". Good times.

Florida is actually down and to the right if you're looking at a map. It depends on which way you're looking at the map, though.
