I'm a runner now. Ran a mile at 6mph on the treadmill last night. The last mile I ran was 10th grade gym class. It felt good, I will be doing it again.

Saturday Morning restaurant that we eat at. One of the girls just had her second kid. Someone must have told her that she should do alot of trap work and squat work to get rid of the baby fat. She lost most of it, but she looks like she could put you in a figure four and snap your neck off. And those traps...she gonna whoop some ass

chairs and stare at their phones. Dudes seem to come just to be seen. There's one guy who looks like fat 19B who I've never seen work out. Is always at the gym just walking around in gamecock gear. He wore a jersey a few days ago. Fat guys seem to think that their fat passes as muscle.

BUT, congrats. Better than I could do. Get back to us when you run 3.5 miles three times a week, outside, in the heat, with hills.
Seriously, just go for time, not speed or distance. Slow jog longer and longer. When you can do 3 miles on the treadmill then go outside and slow jog with the hills, etc. When I got a hair up my rear and lost 90lbs that's what I did. Walked, then walked 3 miles, then started jogging, then jogged 3 miles, then 3.5 miles 3X a week outside with hills. Eventually got to where I could run forever, like 6-8 miles outside.
9 months. In the time it takes to grow a baby, I shrank from 250 to 159lbs. Went from huffing and puffing on one flight of stairs to running 6+ miles. All it takes is time...lol.
One thing I found was it took complex carbohydrates to run more than 3-3.5 miles. 6+ and you better eat some bread or something.

you had your heart attack. Not sure there is any bubble to be burst. I've made a lot of progress over the past 4.5 months with limitations. I've had to take a slower grind to get to this point. But this is just part of the new beginning. But obviously I will never be as accomplished as you in anything.
But I'll keep you updated on my progress. Planning on running a 5k in the fall.
