I've noticed a disturbing trend in recruiting

[3]

Yes I know we are bringing in some good quality guys with high star ratings, but how vested are they really in Clemson as a program and as a family?

I've noticed that more and more of the recruits are committing to the University of Clemson, not Clemson University. If they don't even care enough to get our school's name correct, then can we really truly rely upon them to perform on the field? Are they just committing to us for our hawt wimmins and free education?

Also, in the photo in the below article, you can see that Mitch isn't wearing anything orange or Clemson related, and Jake's Clemson hat is a pale blue color, I didn't even know we had Clemson hats like that.

Can we really be sure that they're "ALL IN" with this type of behavior pervading our recruiting class?? So what if they throw a poker chip in a bucket before the game, being ALL IN is a lifestyle, not a little pregame ritual.

who announce they are committed to the "University of Clemson".

We have to protect our brand, and setting a few examples along the way will stop that nonsense.

That's not so bad. Danny Ford used to say "Clemson Tiger University".

Seriously, how a recruit dresses and whether or not they say Clemson University correctly is your indication as to whether they're all in??? I'd be more concerned with recruits reading this type of goofy post and how they view it. Come on, man

You are so over reacting! As usual. I can't believe you haven't gotten more TD's with this junk.

I may be a coot but Dabo only goes after kids that are willing to go "all-in". I think he spends a good bit of time with each of them individually and makes sure that they understand what "all-in" really means.

So what if they wear a different colored jersey and pronounce the school name wrong...that is only a problem if you are trying to banter on tnet. That kinda junk might get you some TD's but it won't keep you off the field.

I seriously just have to smh my head at you sometimes newb.

South Carolina baseball since 1975: 31 NCAA Tournament appearances including a streak of 14 straight / 12 Super Regional appearances/ 11 College World Series berths / 5 National Championship game appearances / National Champions in 2010 and 2011. The Gamecocks hold 3 NCAA records for postseason success: The most consecutive NCAA tournament wins (22) / The most consecutive wins in the College World Series (12) / The most consecutive home NCAA tournament wins (29).
Since 1992 The Gamecocks have competed in the SEC and have 4 SEC titles / 1 SEC tournament title / 7 SECE titles.

It is NOT the end of the world dude!!

Most of these young men just want to play FOOTBALL and get an education from a respected "University".

Once they get on campus, get acclimated to college life, etc., they will be fully indoctrinated on the fact that we are "Clemson University" and the "University of Clemson"

THEY ARE 17-19.....kids!!!

GO TIGERS!!!!!

So you are supposed to alter your attire just because you commit. They came 2hours or more and some just to hang out. Why do we care what they wear?

"ALL IN" or not. All I'm saying is that there might be some cause for concern what with the other trends also.

I mean Mitch is supposed to be the lynch pin of this class and he ain't even repping our colors or logo...makes me nerveous...maybe Georgia is making a late push for him?

Better get off this #### worry over all in and family thing and start focusing on tough, hard nose football as in blocking and tackeling which has sorely been lacking.

Clempson or Clemzon if they want...I want championships, you get those by bringing in these caliber players. End of story.

You can't blame your recruits for not wanting to wear the ugliest colors on earth - orange and purple. I love it when Clemson wears those purple uniforms though they are appropriate for the AYE SHE SHE. :)
