Sometimes a team jumps when it's clear they are rolling- as Florida appears to be doing now.
It's not unusual.
They jumped up Washington too.

after it was purchased by the same guy who owned the Durham Bulls (Miles Wolff) who is a Johns Hopkins and UVa alum.
The original founder of Baseball America (Alan Simpson) was Canadian.
BA is now owned by John Manuel and Will Lingo who, unless I am mistaken, are UNC alums.

You left out Washington- they also were unranked but jumped up to #14.
Not unreasonable Florida would jump a lot after their stretch last week - considering they've now won 13 of their last 16.
And Alabama swept a top 10 ranked team.
Clemson jumped 4 spots beating an unranked Maryland team.

Maryland wasn't ranked # 25 in the Baseball America poll that this topic referenced (Bama and Florida ranking).
So it would be "idiotic" to reference a ranking in a that poll.
