Wonder how many radios were turned off of CCP this morning

Aug 22, 2013, 9:02 AM

when the host (national show) started talking about his "partner"? Seemed odd. Don't think I've ever heard a sports talk guy bring that stuff up.

Wouldn't want the gay waves to come through and turn your radio gay.

If that happened, the radio would be

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Why mention it? What does it have to do with sports?

Aug 22, 2013, 10:08 AM [ in reply to So people stick around through the blinding stupidity but ]

I think that's the reason why.

There's something in these hills.

In the same context

Aug 22, 2013, 10:40 AM

As many of the other talking heads on ESPN radio fill time talking about their families, or what they did last night, or any of the other myriad of non-directly-sports-related things they discuss.

I wondered the same thing...

Aug 22, 2013, 10:13 AM

I didn't turn it off but was a little puzzled that he spent more time talking about his partner than sports for the last 10-15 minutes of the 7 o'clock hour. It was not what I would call "good" radio - but there is a lot on that station that is not good radio.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I've heard lots of sports radio guys talk about their wives.

Aug 22, 2013, 10:16 AM

And never heard anyone complain about that. It's the same thing.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Not if there are stark moral issues involved

Aug 22, 2013, 10:23 AM

Plus I personally can't remember an ESPN anchor or sports radio person talking at length about their family
