Had Mitch been as tactless as Obama he could have been more blunt and honest. This is about power. In 2016 Mitch did what he did because that's his job. That's what he's doing now.
I haven't gotten involved in the 'you're a hypocrite,' argument with anyone about this because both political sides are guilty. You are not special enough to drag me into such trivial nonsense. Mitch's party likes what he did in 2016 and we like it now. Your party didn't like it then and doesn't like it now.
Imo, that show of consistency satisfies me because I know you're smart enough take the same position if the shoe was on the other foot.

If Mitch wasn't so certain the Pubs are about to get destroyed in November, he would make this a campaign selling point for voting back in and then followed up with a confirmation instead of rushing to get the person in before the election.
