Dabo passed Saban

On Saturday, Dabo moved ahead of Saban on the career winning % list

Dabo is now 109-30-0 or 0.7842
Saban is now 226-62-1 or 0.7837


In the last 4 weeks:
*Passed Knute Rockne & Frank Leahy on number of wins (they are #1 & #2 in win % major college)
*Passed Bear Bryant & now Nick Saban in winning %

These past four seasons make those winning percentages look pedestrian! Crazy! 48-4 for Dabo....49-3 for Saban.

Yes, both of those short term records would easily top the All-Time Major College career win %.

12. Chris Petersen 0.808 **Active
13. Bob Devaney 0.806
14. Bob Stoops 0.798
15. Frank Thomas 0.795
16. Henry Williams 0.7849
17. Dabo Swinney 0.7842 **Active
18. Nick Saban 0.7837 **Active
21. Bear Bryant 0.780
22. Bo Schembechler 0.775

Active coaches were adjusted through this past weekend. Rockne, Leahy, & Haughton coached 13 years. Woodruff coached 12. Everyone else on that list (except Dabo & Petersen) was 16+ years.

That’s crazy to think about. Just a good ole boy from Pelham Alabama Is among the best coaches OF ALL TIME. And he is right here coaching the team we all love. Simply amazing.

Show me the rings. Dabo is truly an elite coach but it is going to take several more championships to put him in the Saban conversation.

Yeah...I love Dabo...but he has a long way to go to catch Saban in the most important category.

It's up there, but it's not the most important. It is in Alabama...so, should Dabo return there, you know, where it's 'the most important category'?

Personally, I'm quite fond of some of the other categories he has made Clemson stellar in...and I have no doubt 'most important' will continue to grow...the Dabo way.
