manatees as our warm beach-comber, vegetarian, peace loving, hippie cousins. They are exactly the opposite of us who prefer cold rocks, shellfish and seals to eat. fight at the drop off an ice-cube, and are more like Vikings.

about 50 manatees and one actually gave me a hug. It was a good sign...though a little scary. Thing was YUGE!

approaching and my wife said she wanted to spend the day seeing manatees. We almost backed out the night before as it was going to be the coldest morning of the year in FL but that is the best time to go as they seek warmth in the springs. Amazing experience and I'm not even a "manatee guy". The next day was even better though!
