What exactly does a coach mean when he says we need to get Lawrence to where the game is slow?

It means that he needs to be playing the game at the same speed as the defense; that things don't seem to be coming at him perceived (by him) as "fast" anymore. He said in his post game that the speed is a lot different and that it took a bit for him to get up to speed on it. Deshaun got a dose of the fast game in Athens back in 2015. Trevor didn't see the speed this week that he'll see next week; that's the next step Cudos to Dabo and staff for doing this the smart way.
