No need to totally panic. In the ACC, this team should win or compete with FSU for the Atlantic championship year in and year out. As far as beating SO CAR or any other quality team outside the conference, the team will have to be more phyical on both sides of the ball, especially defense. Also, and this is key - the QB has to be a leader, tough, resourceful and a winner. Taj is a fine player but he is not that person and those are tough to come by. The kid last night for SO CAR was that person. He just made plays. Johnny Football for A&M is that person. MAYBE Chad Kelly is. He has the pedigree. We shall see. Interestingly enough, after watching Sammy Watkins last year as a freshmen, we all thought he was that kind of player but he has disappeared. Will it regain that in 2013 or will be one of these players that you just wonder what happened?

This program can move forward but it will have to come from Dabo. Get rid of the soft coaches that you have on the defensive side of the football and develop an edge and you will be OK. It's the next step in the process. Bear Bryant, Danny Ford, Nick Saban - great coaches who understood that, to be a the highest level in this game, you have to be physical and sometimes that you have to be an ahole and that starts at the top.

You cant tell from week to week if you are getting better or not because you are not being challenged.Running up the score on pathetic teams just makes everbody think they are better than they are.To play high ranked teams and face aversity to hold on and win is what builds a real team.

Chad Kelly has the attitude. He has been brazen before he ever set foot on campus and from what I have heard doesn't tone it down for anyone. THAT is what we need to have.

We used to be a better competitor all around. Regardless of conference. The team has been on a bubble for a lonnnng time. We just don't improve. Bowden couldn't do it and Bowdens underlings can't either?
