Student orgs do a lot of the work for pay

Nov 13, 2013, 11:33 AM

We used to do full stadium cleanups on the crew team. Would take a few hours, but it was decent pay for the team. Used to find all sorts of stuff, too. iPods, flasks, watches, sun glasses.

I'll tell you one thing, you don't realize how big a stadium

Nov 13, 2013, 11:45 AM

is until clean one. When I played Club Baseball at Clemson we did it after one of the games. It took like 4 hours and we only did half the stadium. Luckily it was a nooner against a FBS opponent.

I honestly thought it was going to say 3 Gamecock grads

I would be ok with swearing that I've never left anything behind that I brought in or bought from the canteen. When I'm leaving DV, I put it in a Near by trash can. I wish we all could take just a minute or less to do that For DV.

"Purple in the morning blue, in the afternoon, orange in the evening"

is that a "Requiem for a Dream" quote?

another 2 hours I won't get back.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It's an embarrassment, IMO. How hard is it

Nov 13, 2013, 1:48 PM

to carry your trash to a can? Same in the parking lots. I always take my trash home...I will not 'trash' Clemson. Show some respect.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Safe to say 1 in a 100 people DGAF and will litter.

Nov 13, 2013, 1:59 PM

1% of 85,000 people is still 850 idiots trashing the crap out of the place.

I suspect that most of the folks that leave their trash behind are the overly drunk crowd. Been noticing an increase in the number of dumb drunks falling down in the stadium this year - really wish some folks would know their limits. Nothing wrong with getting buzzed before the game but to get throw-up hammered every game is just down right stupid.

Agreed! Take pride

in your university, in your team, in your campus, etc. I'd expect this at some OTHER universities, but not nearly to this degree at Clemson.

Maybe if they gave fans a bag when they bought something that would at least make it more convenient to keep track of your trash and easier to throw it away without carrying a handful of garbage....

Also hate to see all the recyclables going in with regular

trash.

Would be nice if people at least took their plastic bottles out and dropped them in recycle bins.
