Think it’s a big deal. I think we’re very lucky that transfers out of the Clemson program is so rare and we have Coach Swinney and his staff to thank. In my opinion Coach Swinney did the right thing giving Belk an unconditional release, no reason to punish the young man.

Well it’s 1/4th of our DTs for 2019..leaving only Jeffries, Williams, and Pinckney after this season. It is a big deal! Big men are hard to come by and rarely come game ready and take time to develop. We better go get this years version of both Dexter Lawrence AND Christian Wilkins! Great DTs have been the hallmark of our defensive success since Venables arrived.

It's a down year for DTs. Last year kind of was too. Ish Sopsher out of LA is the closest thing this cycle and he seems to be a very heavy LSU lean with maybe Bama lurking somewhere in the background. If LSU crashes and burns this year, which is honestly a real possibility if not a probably outcome, then maybe we can squeeze in but that would be tough. Demarvin Leal, a Texas A&M commit, is planning on taking a Clemson official. He's like the 4 or 5 rated interior DL.

Belk isn’t the equivalent of Lawrence or Wilkins, so we actually only need to sign the equivalent of Belk to replace Belk. A lot can happen in a year and nothing is guaranteed, just like last year when everyone thought we’d be replacing 3 starting DL. So for now I’m going to enjoy our run to the 2018 National Title.

Actually he is according to recruiting services...all 3 were 5 star recruits. Few and far between at DT my friend

He was a 4 star according to Rivals, and was our 6th or 7th DT coming out of spring. You can worry about this for the next 15 months, but I’m going to enjoy the 2018 season.
