If it is a cross between the two...

Watch out, Brownell! Leggett is going to screw things up by calling for a last second bunt when Nnoko's wide open for a game-winning dunk. Way to go, Jack!

I actually like this idea, but wouldn't it have to be an NCAA rule as opposed to an ACC rule to actually happen?

Article says it will only be done in "exhibition" games

However, I'm not really sure what that means. Clemson only plays one or two exhibition games a year, and those are not with conference opponents. Wonder if we will use "ACC rules" since those exhibitions are usually home games.

I realize that, but I was asking if the ACC likes the shortened shot clock, would they be able to just make it a conference rule or would they have to get the entire NCAA on board before it would happen in real games?

Good question, would think they'd have to get NCAA approval

Guess that's what Swoffie gets paid the big bucks for...aside from getting paid to help his son keep a job.

IDK if the whole NCAA would have to

approve, but it would be an issue of ACC teams playing a 30 second shot clock for an entire conference season, and then having to re adjust to a 35 second clock for the NCAAT and NIT.

Swoffie will use the School of Clock Management Department in either Durham or Chapel Hole.
Undergraduate requirements include excessive use of benadryl, multiple digit amputations, near/far-sightedness, deafness. Pre-requisite classes includes Flopping 101/102, 12/16oz elbow curls,

Neither are any of the other 51-49 games that are becoming more prevalent in CBB.

"Low scoring" games don't bother me. I don't think I

watch a 51-49 game and think "Geez, that was boring."
But that's just me. Back when a team would hold a ball forever and games would finish 11-7, yeah. But 51-49 is fine with me.

From Kenpom's adjusted tempo stat (351 teams)
May 15, 2014, 1:53 PM
|
|
300 - Virginia Tech 305 - Pittsburgh 329 - Boston College 343 - Syracuse 346 - Virginia 348 - Clemson 351 - Miami FL
It's more than Clemson, the ACC has turned into the old Big Ten in recent years.

Is this going to be 30 seconds in Duke time or 30 seconds in real time?

I've always wondered...

why they don't have a shot clock in HS.
First team that scores, get 1 defensive stop. Play keep away and run the rest of the first half time out. Repeat the 2nd half.....you win every game.
