and can't be happy with anything. Got this text message from a fellow Tiger fan after the game:

"I'm not happy with the defense. I know this GT team is hard to defend but we still have guys wide open running in the secondary."

Are you kidding me? We basically shut down that offense all night. Except for a couple of breakdowns, which is not unexpected against that offense and a couple of mistakes on our end, that offense probably scores 14 or less.

He later sends another text and says:

"Glad the offense looked better"

Well ####. Glad he could find something good to say.

We played a 90% running team and got burned on a few passes

It's not like that's the normal way to defend an offense. The late game drives is all that should be a concern

My guess is by the second half the secondary just wanted the game over with since the O was obviously getting the job done.

Vad only completes 41% of his passes, and GT only throws like 8% of the time. It's simple math. Do you drop your guys back into coverage, or do you move them up and shut down their stupid offense?

The irony is that we made Tech a 2 dimensional team

and when you are able to make GT pass the ball, you are playing lights out on D. We played great assignment football and tackled well all over the field. GT had something like 70 yards at the end of the half.

Our D played balls to the wall all night long.
