Calls down the stretch

Mar 10, 2016, 8:58 AM

Here are a few interesting stats that prove the ACC officials still do whatever they want to make games entertaining...

With 7 minutes left (Clemson up 12) until the end of regulation:

GT was whistled for 4 fouls resulting in Clemson shooting 7 free throws.
Clemson was whistled for 10 fouls resulting in GT shooting 19 free throws.

All of this happened in 7 minutes! Keep in mind that both teams COMBINED only shot 3 free throws in the entire first half!

March Madness is created by bad officiating. Bad officiating = Good entertainment, which = $$$$$

They got what they wanted, aka - a good story line to put in today's newspapers.

if you're gonna play in the acc

Bad officiating can't be used as an excuse. You have to beat them too

It don't matter if you have superman as your coach

when the other team shoots as many free throws in the last 7 minutes as you did the entire game (19), you aren't going to win.

The officiating was bad....

but it was bad on both sides IMO.

Clemson lost because they started playing too conservative trying not to lose rather than playing to win.

In so doing, the team pi$$ed away an 18 point lead in part because they couldn't hit the ground with their hat or water if they fell out of a friggin' boat.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
