Absolutely TT, the win is worth 10,000 times more for Clemson than the loss meant to Louisville. So if ESECPN want's to hand them something, let them give Louisville something that means nothing coming from them!!!

It might be higher bc losing couldn't have helped them, or is this one of those ESECPN things that losing actually helps the loser... It does sound about right for ESECPN!!!

Their strength of schedule took a hit once Houston lost.

after we beat them in the Orange Bowl. They might want to go back and tweak that formula just a little.

Right on! This stuff cracks me up, sometimes. Take away the 5 turnovers we had (I know they count, but really) and it wouldn't have been a game.

in "theory" the 5 or 6 turnovers Alabama had vs. Ole Miss shouldn't have counted...according to ESPN.

All those years we heard about quality losses from the Ess Eee She...you know we are big time now that the ACC has them too.

I just don't want to face Lamar Jackson again in the playoffs. We barely beat them here. We have to win the rest of our games and keep them out of the playoffs.

Well lets break this thing down.

U of L has played FSU, we play them in 3 weeks. So that will be a wash. Same with Syracuse.
Troy > Marshall.
While UNCC is not a Sub Divison team the mine as well be considered one.
We play Clemson 12 times during the regular season. lol
U of L gets Duke and UVA from the Atlantic division and we get Pitt and GT. Advantage Clemson
Then we get the two terrible SEC LEast foes in UK (U of L) and the coots (Clemson).
Saved this one for last. While I am not sure @ AU will be truthfully noted as a bigger deal than @ Houston, it is. See Navy for proof.
Basically they get a boost for @ Clemson.

statistical categories. How are we going to recover from this devastating set back.
I don't understand how espn continues to push this propaganda poll when it really is just a percentage expression of a points spread set by an odds maker. ESPN, you suck. Stop trying to make people think this is a thing.

It says projected W-L of 12.1 - 0.9
Oct 10, 2016, 12:27 PM
|
|
12-1 is impossible. If we lose one game regular season, we'll still play 14 games.
If we don't lose, but lose the ACC champ game, we'll still play 14 games.
So I'm not sure I trust anything about this Index.

chance to win the division. Other teams will have projections like VTs 8.7-3.8 which means it's giving them about a 50/50 chance to win the coastal.

Does this feel like last year to anyone else in the sense that it does not matter what we do, they are not going to give us credit (i.e. Notre Dame, Oklahoma). So we just have to keep winning and proving them wrong.

ESPN's FPI had us losing most big games in '15
Oct 10, 2016, 1:20 PM
|
|
I put as much stock in ESecPN FPI as I do that hobbit Mcshay. Zero! We were FPI underdogs against FSU, NDame, Louisville, Oklahoma, and Alabama. They were wrong an all of them. We outplayed Bama, got out coached! I think we would win 7 out of 10 vs Bama. Especially with all of our guys healthy. Boulware was playing one armed, Lawson was hobbled, Alexander was hamstringed, Mike Williams neck, and Cain temporarily lost his mind! If we had all our guys intact, we win! FPI is hot garbage! I love your doubts, ESPN! When these boys play angry, no one can stop them!

How can Lewisville have a projected win loss record better than 12.1-.90??? They already have 1.0 loss. The best they could be is 12.0-1.0

They don't. Louisville has a 10.6-1.5 projected win-loss ratio. They're still .1 above us in the FPI though, because the FPI is a predictive measure that predicts how two teams will match up. It's one of the most accurate predictors both straight up and against the spread:
