I hate to break this to you but after some research, I would take what the AAPS here with a grain of salt.

"As tea partiers have become the leading opposition to health care reform, AAPS has lent credibility to their criticism of the emerging health care legislation. ... Yet despite the lab coats and the official-sounding name, the docs of the AAPS are hardly part of mainstream medical society."

The AAPS is for a private healthcare system

and a restoration of the doctor-patient relationship. In an era of healthcare dominated by insurance companies, healthcare administrators, and government involvement, it is increasingly difficult for doctors to practice medicine and patients to get the care they need. And the results speak for themselves - higher physician burnout, greater patient dissatisfaction, higher costs, and worse health outcomes.

I applaud the AAPS, because they actually care about physicians and patients. Too many medical societies today (e.g., American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, etc.) don't care much about the physicians they claim to represent, and believe that a larger and more expensive healthcare system is the answer.

On here, it’s a grade of salt.

It does raise some interesting points,

But these guys are pretty fringe in their thinking, honestly. They’ve previously denied HIV causes AIDS, amongst other anti-evidence based methods. There’s a reason President Trump has taken the position he has - the majority of thought is to flatten the curve.

Herd immunity seems to be the best answer.

are never handed out as freely as MDs are these days. We seem to be doing great at slowing thins down...how to resume life smartly is the question. I am hopeful drug tests keep coming back promising. It is difficult to really study efficacy when only 1 in 100 dies.
