74, I'm not sure what you don't understand about the fact that it's against Federal law. This has been discussed plenty of time and you're on here plenty enough to have seen it by now.

"So, I told my friend Gov. Bob McDonnell that I'll bet some great South Carolina barbecue from Hudson's Smokehouse in Lexington that Clemson, led by ACC Rookie of the Year Sammy Watkins and head coach Dabo Swinney, will bring home the ACC championship.”

Sounds like she's doing a marketing promotion for Clemson Brand and Hudson's Barbeque.

She's a Clemson grad herself - so she better back us up!

Dec 1, 2011, 12:20 PM

I don't know about eating "hokie nuts" though.... Doesn't sound like something I can get excited about. Maybe it works for those boys up in Va... I dunno....

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Isn't gambling illegal? Not just with money, but wagering

Dec 1, 2011, 12:25 PM

What BS.

Re: Isn't gambling illegal? Not just with money, but wagering

Dec 1, 2011, 12:33 PM

Who cares if it is? So what if they bet a million dollars? As long as it is their money and not tax payers.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I care, if gambling can you get you arrested, then how come

Dec 1, 2011, 1:01 PM

they get to do it and its cute and funny and gets state if not national attention.

Its hypocritical.

If I get caught gambling, i'm going to jail.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Lighten up ,Francis...it's a "friendly wager"***

Dec 1, 2011, 1:08 PM

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Dec 1, 2011, 2:12 PM

She's using campaign donations from Texas,so it's legal, not SC money.

Don't hold me to it, but bets under 100 are legal I believe. I remember them passing that law either last year or the year before.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Besides, won't the bet officially be in Charlotte?***
