Who would take them straight up in a game against Bama? NOBODY. They'd be 10-point 'dogs. I think the CFP got it right otherwise, but give me a break. They have a QB that throws seven times a game and have feasted on the SEC LEast all year. Can't wait to see how they handle that little trip to Auburn and Nicky in Atlanta. Same old Georgia: Overrated.

I think Georgia deserves it more than anyone else. They've been destroying all of their opponents, and they won @ #3 Notre Dame, who's been killing everyone since they lost to UGA. At this point, they have earned it. Alabama hasn't played anyone good, so despite crushing everyone, it's less impressive IMO.

Clemson beat 3 Top 15 teams in Sept...2 still are. Only 1 team has beaten 3 Top 25... ND Clemson beat 6 Top 40 FPI teams next best is 4...ND ( I think).

not the entire video. It's difficult to see what happens at the end so I'm with the POC on this one. There's no reason to stress about who can beat whom until they formulate the final rankings and have to pick the four best teams.

Ga has earned the #1 spot.Actually I think Bama is ranked to high, but no losses plus dominating sec nobodies gets them at #2.Hard to argue their place with Clemson and ND having losses, however.

Who would you put #1? Yes Alabama is probably better, but the CFP committee has stated in the past that they are ranking at that point in time and giving weighing qualities wins highly. Georgia's schedule hasn't been great so far, but it is far better than Alabama's.

Alabama beat an over-hyped FSU team that has been proven to be grossly over-rated. They are 2-5 and if they can't win any games except for Wake and Duke then they have far more problems than just missing a QB and never deserved that preseason ranking.
Georgia also beat Miss State who is 6-2 and ranked in the top 20.

Committe says they are not predicting outcomes, they are evaluating performance to date. Bama has played nobody.

It's kind of like us in 2015 we had the best win at the time and petty much demolished everyone else. Not saying I think they are as good as our 2015, but the résumés are very similar. I still think they end up losing at Auburn, but I don't see an issue with them being #1 at this time given the circumstances.

Georgia has four FBS wins over losing teams and a one-point win over ND... so I’m not really seeing what they’ve done to deserve their ranking.

If you don't see beating the current #3 on the road as anything, then nobody can help you see why Georgia should be #1. Bama's schedule is easily worse than Georgia's. They've beat 5 teams with losing records, and nobody that resembles a good team (Texas A&M, Fresno St, and Colorado St are their wins over .500 or better teams). So, are you just not going to have a number 1? I don't think they can do that
