What exactly is the "positive energy/momentum"

Mar 13, 2017, 6:52 PM

in the basketball program right now according to BB and DRad? The new Littlejohn made little to no difference, we still are mediocre in recruiting, our best player in quite awhile is leaving, we lost a boat load of close games this year (definitely no coincidence, it's all coaching/execution). I feel like we regressed this year and see nothing as a positive really in the program right now.

He also said the state of the program is "healthy". I guess it's not a good heathy then. It's not on life support, but it sure is not healthy.

Is that like...

"Winning the Championship of Life" for Tennessee football players?

If this program is healthy, I dont want to see a sick program. What good recruit would come knowing that Brownell has to produce or be gone? The man has to be crazy or just stupid to believe what he said.

in order to get those around them to believe it too. I'm not buying it.

He's using "Common Core" math.

It doesn't have to be true. You just have to say it's true, and say it like you really believe it.

It is many things:

Mar 13, 2017, 9:02 PM

1. Support from the administration
2. New facilities
3. Larger basketball donor base
4. Highest team GPA we have ever had
5. High graduation rate
6. No off-court issues
7. Brad's best recruiting class coming in this year
8. We have been extremely competitive

At the end of the day, we need to win more games. But our foundation is a very strong one right now, which counts for a lot. It was certainly not a strong foundation when Brad arrived, despite the appearance that it was with the NCAA Tournaments before he arrived. He has said that he was not aware how many behind the scenes issues there were when he accepted the job.

What about the most important thing wins and losses? High gpas and graduation rates are great but that doesn't matter when you make only one NCAA tournament in seven years. Face it Brownells record on the court leaves a lot to be desired . It's time for a change.
