Is playing in Greenville a big advantage for Clemson?

Mar 5, 2017, 8:42 PM

That's the subject of a thread on FGF right now.

I would have thought that the Greenville area would have a huge contingent of SCAR fans just like I'd think Clemson would be well represented down in Charleston if the game were played there.

Is Greenville just a Clemson home game?? What's the consensus?

I would say no

While Greenville has a good representation of Clemson fans the further you drift toward Spartanburg the tide turns a LOT. Plenty of Coots in the area they are just very SILENT these days.

no - I beleive they have won more there than we have

tickets are split 50/50. So it's not exactly halfway, but we can't really play in Newberry.

Nah...judging from the crowd...

it seems to be a pretty even split.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Sure didn't sound that way on the online broadcast

Nor did it sound that way on 105.5. In fact, It sounded like SC might have even had a slight advantage in crowd presence at Fluor Field

Absolutely not.....There's a huge chicken contingency in

the metro Greenville area and it's a short drive up I-26 (1.5 hrs) from Columbia anyhow.

50% of the tix sold to the game in Greenville are sold thru usuck.
