that the only reason that Clay Helton finally got a contract renewal is to attract Flowe to sign?? They have been in constant turmoil & disarray for years; very well possible...

Not likely.

Word early in the cycle was that Flowe was cool on USC because he wanted Helton out and wanted them to go ahead and move on to a big name coach. Everyone assumed he was going along with the idea that people thought Urban Meyer was headed there.

Apparently with things settling down Helton was able to at least get Flowe to listen to his pitch.

Just reaching for straws on why he'd want to go there...Oregon I can understand due to all the 'hype & glitz' of the Nike connection and solid program that has been established lately. Some kids just can't get on board with going across the country on their own at age 18.

No, signing Flowe is nice but is of little significance to their program?still a dissappointing class & a chaotic mess of differing opinions lingers among their board of trustees(massive # of trustees)
