Coaches over the last 5 or six years have done pretty well just finding them walking around on campus! :)

As much time as you spend on Tigernet and you don't recall

that the son of former Clemson punter and baseball player Bill Spiers has a 6'5" son Will who has agreed to be a preferred walk on next year and our kicker Greg Huegel will be a sophomore and Alex Spence will be a sophomore and Teasdall is the only rising senior?

Dude!

It's not a real pressing need....

Feb 1, 2016, 8:21 AM

Greg Huegel is a rising sophomore

Alex Spence is a rising sophomore

Andy Teasdall is a rising senior?

and we'll have a walk-on (Spiers) coming in with the 2016 class

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Oops..you're right, we didn't lose the Natty due to kickers!

Like..hitting it out of the end zone or missing a tackle on the runner headed for the far end zone for 6.

My fault!

The young man who kicked it was a freshman....

and will improve as he continues to develop.

I remember another freshman kicker not long ago who didn't quite live up to expectations. He turned out to be one of the most reliable kickers in Clemson history and currently kicks for the Arizona Cardinals.

We haven't had a kicker who could get it out of the endZone in awhile

What Bill is saying is, that was the crying sentiment leaving the game. All through the Renaissance Hotel, outside the stadium, in the airport.

We need a person, don't even have to be a kicker, it can be a tight end with a strong leg (see rendrick Taylor) , to kick the ball in the endZone, everytime.

Not 8/10

Not 9/10

10/10

Everyone always talks about how far we need to kick it... In reality, and logically, Huegel simply needs to work on his PATs and the entire special teams needs to work on COVERAGE and lane assignments. This is one area Dabo should study Urban Meyer... No matter where he's gone, he has consistently churned out top-10 special teams units and its all about individual assignments and playing the ball.

This is a great read from last Spring that will make you think / consider much more than "we need to kick it 120 yards every time.":
