Is 6 in the box really daring you pass/ taking away the run?

I heard Elliott mention that and it didn't really make a lot of sense to me. I know it's hard to run when there is 8 or more in the box, but I never thought 6 would be a deterrent to not have your RB (particularly when he's as explosive as ETN) slam it up in there a few more times to see if he can break one.

When A&M's big were suckling air at the end of the 2nd qt, you attack the perimeter. We win so most will call us stupid to complain. The fact is after winning the Natty we want another one. This offense is really sad to have all of this talent. We have speed and size outside. A slasher, a powerback, and a track star. 6 OL over 315 lbs and can't run the ball?? Watson made this offense look good. Without him we are an ACC power. Not a national power. Today Bama would simply kick our #!! I'm not good with that!!

It is for Elliott because he doesn’t want the RBs to bounce it outside and get big chunks. He just wants 4 yards between the tackles and 6 defenders takes away his gaps.
