Beer Sales in the Valley

Nov 29, 2012, 5:07 PM

If they are getting $4 for a bottle of Dasani Water, just think how much they could charge for a can of beer.

What a great new revenue source.

Yeah, don't expect us to be front runners on this. After all, you can't by alcohol at a public establishment at all in Pickens County on Sundays. We will probably be last to sell in our stadium.

Blasphemy!***

behavior problems as it is.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Interesting tid bit, you CAN sell beer on-campus on Sundays

Nov 29, 2012, 9:28 PM [ in reply to Re: Beer Sales in the Valley ]

I went to a couple of concerts at Littlejohn on Sundays and they were selling beer inside. The policy is just that they don't seel alcohol on-campus for sporting events.

Might as well prosper from them...

Nov 29, 2012, 5:46 PM [ in reply to Re: Beer Sales in the Valley ]

If they are drunk in the stands already, why not let the University exploit this crowd?

They let the drinking go on outside the stadium, might as well sell inside and make some $$$.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

You can avoid the drunks outside, but not in the stands.***

Beer is a red neck pot gut beer belly cheap drink usually guzzled by the 12 pack by a bunch of ugly people attending a sporting event at a low life gathering place. Beer has no place on the premises of a top 25 US News striving institution of faux snobs led by a bunch of cocktail light weights who thought WVU was not good enough to join their gaggle of effeminite men holding a wine glass with one pinkie extended while talking about chit no one cares about.

Wine and cheese would be better served in Death Valley than beer. It goes well with the woo hoo. Leave the beer sells to the teams that usually kick our ####.

1/2 Million $$ in Sales per game...

Nov 29, 2012, 5:56 PM

At Invesco Mile High Stadium in Denver, an average of 70,000 beers are sold at an NFL game.

At $7-$8 a pop, wow....

Why are bible thumpers so against beer? Did not Jesus drink wine at the Last Supper? Ben Franklin said "beer is proof that God truly loves us".

now, 83K capacity...

Of course, not everybody will drink a beer, but those who do will probably have a couple+ ... thus assume 83K beers sold a game

83000x6 = 498000 revenue from beer sales per game !

+

Beer Vendor(s) will pay advertising rights !

Great Idea!
