Interesting Auburn note/Injury

Our best DL ... 5* Marlon Davidson had a "Tweaked" knee. This is somewhat old news ... but,
there are ramblings of him not playing vs Georgia Southern. Rumors are that he's at or close to
100%, but they don't want him hurting it again with GA Southern being a triple option/ cut blocking OL.
Still makes me nervous. You never know about rumors. Davidson is probably our best DL. Started as a True freshman every game last year at DE in front of Byron Cowart (Former #1 overall/ 5*DE) ... HE's a stud and even though we're the most stacked at DL (4 5* DL) .... He's the best one.
Just something to keep an eye on.

I'm sure you guys (I know you guys) have great talent and depth.
But if this was Watkins or Lawrence .... you might be a little nervous that you're best DL
was "iffy" for the first game ... with a big week 2 game looming.

Yep - hard for us to imagine your anxiety. Ours is more centered around having to wait to play a meaningful game until week three.

What I've told you is that our Best 5 star is iffy in week 1.

Some of you are cool .... others .... not so much.
I would want to know if you guys had a hurt player. I'm planning on putting money on this game,

I'm a little worried, but we do have another 5* right behind him
We also have four 5* on the DL, btw.

Rivals reports that since 2014, Auburn signed 3 high school DL rated as five stars. (Brown, Davidson and Cobart. One of them might be hurt.
Rivals reports that since 2014, Clemson signed 2 high school DL rated as five stars. (Wilkins and Lawrence.) The Clemson guys won the Natty last January, beating Alabama.
FWIW, since 2014, AU has signed 58 players rated four star or better by Rivals. Clemson over the same period, Clemson signed 42 players rated four star or better by Rivals. So it looks like Auburn has the talent edge. They had it in 2016 too. Clemson must have been lucky last year. I hope we are lucky again this year.

You're missing 5# TD Moultry ... rated by Rivals.com as a 5 star OLB. He plays the Buck position which is a WDE/Rush End. He's the 4th DL.
Oh we definitely had the OVERALL talent last year. But it was missing in the most Glaring position.
QB.
We played hot patato at QB .... I think we win that game had White played every snap. White is a good QB. But has no chance of playing in the NFL.
This year we'll have Stidham who has a VERY good chance of playing on Sundays.
You guys just lost your NFL QB. I think this is the difference in the two teams from last year to this year. Even though, as you pointed out .... AU has the number in talent .... But I wouldn't say it's a huge gap. #7 vs #11 over the last 5 years is nearly a wash.
Our offenses are so QB dependent .... & Auburn is about to greatly ascend in that regard.

Clemson is deep at WR but I'm sure most here would have liked to have Mike Williams for the first match up against Bama.

Not happy with our AD for scheduling this. I would've rather played UAB or South Alabama instead of
GA Southern for an opener. Simply put, you have to prepare more for this offense than you normally would for an inferior opponent.

Auburn cheats and are not on the same level as CLEMSON right now.
If I was you I wouldn't get my hopes up very much.
You see even though you cheat and get good players.
Your Coaching staff sucks and on the road in Death Valley, AU has little chance to win.
Oh yeah we don't care about who is or not playing
We hope everyone is healthy for AU so there won't be any excuses.
