Boat.net...Prop trim edition

Trim function has decided to stop working. Ideas on remedies?

So far I have:

1. Put milk in the freezer
2. Checked the lint trap
3. Tried to determine if there is a fuse (mixed reports on the Google)

I suppose it could be the hydraulic pump or solenoid....

Let the dealer deal with it. Could be a fuse, battery connection, of the pump had a seal leak around the ram, leak ingested water and is now kaput.

Inboard or outboard?

If outboard does the trim not work from both controls? Or just the helm control? Can you hear the solenoid or pump when actuating the control? When did it work last?

If inboard, probably a lot of similar kweshiuns but i'm not sure.

Inboard Mercruiser engine. Only control is on the throttle..

DOn't hear anythink when I try to engage it... I'm thinking McLovin may be right and it's the solenoid.

solenoid is working properly or not with a multimeter.

I would follow power until you lose it before i started throwing parts at it.

My outboard motor has a 20 amp fuse

when trim would die, fuse had to be replaced. Location of fuse was on motor underneath motor cover.
