This whole thing just makes me sad. Who knows why he did it? Maybe he's just an overzealous fan who, quite literally, wanted a piece of the rock. Maybe he was trying to impress his friends or a girl. Maybe he's a genuine psychopath. A common vandal? Doesn't seem logical. Most likely a combination of one of these theories or something normal people can't understand. I doubt we'll ever know. You can't fix crazy or keep teenagers from doing incredibly stupid things. Some things are just unexplainable.
I do NOT feel sorry for him and want to see him prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. He must be made to pay for this desecration. I also don't want to see his family further tormented and persecuted. No doubt, they are embarrassed beyond words and feel like failures for raising someone capable of such a desecration.
I really just want it all to go away so we can focus on Clemson football again. From this point forward, the less publicity the better, imho. Let the justice system do its thing and the rest of us get ready to watch UGA get their tails kicked by our boys in August. Just my 2 cents.

I'm not their friends, either, 74........but I do feel some degree of sympathy for the family. Who raises a kid and expects the kid to do something like this? Being a parent myself, I would be mortified......humiliated....forever. There were folks here earlier calling for fans to ruin the father's business. That's just not right. Nothing much worse than having your progeny commit such a heinous act. Like I said before, it just makes me sad. How could you prevent it? You can't fix crazy people. Ted Bundy's parents probably thought they raised a stellar young man, too. They were also wrong. I just want it to GO AWAY.....ASAP.
