They believed they were invincible & really building a dynasty..when all they did was luck uP & beat 5 Clemson Teams (of which two shouldn't have lost due to better talent)..
Yes, they beat average OHst & Michigan teams in average bowls..but will say they beat #1 Bama & couple very strong UGa teams.
Plus, Connor Shaw was a baller who kept them in every game & never lost in WillieB..and without having him Coach Spurrier would have lost a bundle of more games.
Sounds like a lot of long-term history but those handful of special years don't make a dynasty.
Now...the HC Is gone, their best players gone, recruiting is sorry...and their in-state rival is about ready to put up its 25th extra win in the long series.
SC football is back to where it was 10 years ago..and Clemson is back to where it's the powerhouse again that the Coots have feared as well as wanted to emulate for over 100 years.
