What President Barker accomplished at Clemson from an academic standpoint makes my degree carry a lot more weight!!

However, I feel like he's gone very far away from Clemson's mission. We should be good academically, but we should also still be Clemson. Being the most expensive public college in the state isn't Clemson. Academically, it's so hard to get into, that you wind up with a lot of kids who don't care about traditions, they just want the best education they can get for in state tuition. So many kids who love Clemson and would give back are passed over, and it sucks. I can't fully blame Barker, because this is the way college is these days, but somethings he has done hasn't helped the culture remain like it was.

academically, he left behind a lot of majors. My major Language and Intl Trade was complete chaos. Prof and advisors did not know what classes counted or mattered. Its like he pushed us forward without making sure everybody was on the same page and in the process created turmoil in some majors.
