Stock Market seems pleased with election results

Nov 9, 2020, 9:07 AM

We'll see if today's futures hold for the entire session.

Biden was elected, then he helped discover the vaccine in just a few days time. Stock market is rewarding us for his generosity.

Fight for those run-offs though, to end gridlock and punish everyone that saves money. That’s the liberal way.

Don't low interest rates punish savers too?

I've seen folks bragging about Trump using low mortgage rates as a measure. Plus stock market has been good during Democrat presidencies.

The best of both worlds for large caps. No rise in the corporate tax rate if the Republicans hold the senate, and a president who will probably not fight large companies from using cheap labor.

Only one explanation:

Wall Street is so excited over the fake vaccine for the hoax pandemic that it totally forgot about the stolen election.

Falsehood flies, and truth comes limping after it, so that when men come to be undeceived, it is too late; the jest is over, and the tale hath had its effect: like a man, who hath thought of a good repartee when the discourse is changed, or the company parted; or like a physician, who hath found out an infallible medicine, after the patient is dead.

I can never understand how they do this...

Nov 9, 2020, 10:32 AM

Almost every time I read or hear about how the stock market is doing on a given day, it'll say something like "Investors were encouraged by the election results," or "Stocks took a dive due to fears about COVID". How can anyone know this? Is this based on a poll or something? It's just pure conjecture, right?

I've always wondered the same, but some times its pretty obvious.

Today is the vaccine

They can tell by certain stocks that are being bought. Carnival Cruise stock is up close to 40% today. American Airlines up 15%. Exxon up 12%. Hilton up 12%. Dine Brands, which owns Applebess etc is up 18%. Wynn Resorts is up 27%. All those stocks are vaccine related and it's just people thinking the world will be back to normal not too far down the road. People are going to be travelling, going out to eat, etc etc.
