Good. He will fit right in and TN will continue to be an easy raid for recruits.

Yeah losing to a team as pathetic as USuCk is definitely a reason to fire your coach.

earth-shattering win, while UT fans would see it as losing to a bottom feeder and grounds to fire their coach. I think an interesting drama could play out here. Sure do hope UT is able to outwit Coach Lombar...errrr, Musschamp tho. Watching the chickens crumble makes Saturdays so much fun! Is it bad for me to feel that way?

and a very high level donor in their booster organization. He actually played basketball for the Vols back in the 1950's.
He wanted Butch fired after the 2014 season. In fact, he was a firm believer that hiring Butch in the first place was a poor decision.
He wants Bob Stoops or Peyton Manning as the next head coach.

Bob Stoops is retired for good and you probably don't want a guy who has never coached a day in his life taking over a program in the SEC. Lots of great players make crap coaches and the last thing you'd want would be for a guy with a legacy like Peyton's at UT where he is greater than a God in their mind, to ruin that legacy by being a total dud of a coach.

Or he has a will to compete and thinks he can beat out Lawrence. Doubtful he is leaving because a freshman is coming in and MIGHT take his spot.
Trevor may be the best qb to ever live but the fact of the matter is he hasn’t taken a college snap, been in a college practice, and hasn’t even enrolled in a college class. He is going to have an uphill battle to pass these guys that have been there and proven themselves. Moral of the story Hunter isn’t going anywhere

I hope you're right about HJ. I still think he's the best QB we have, but each man has his own opinion. I just support Dabo and the coaches. Last I checked, they were doing a pretty good job.

He's the best qb because he looked good in mop up time during one series against Wake Forest. Never mind that our starter has taken us to three top 15 wins in his first 4 starts when most people doubted he could even complete a forward pass on here.

What does Butch Jones staying at Tennessee have to do with Hunter Johnson staying at Clemson??

best served making a interim change before Bama. Nothing to lose. And who knows, sometimes those interim doods work out ok. Not often, but every now and then. Heard of it working out pretty good somewhere at some small school in South Carolina...can't recall the name.

Honestly, Tennessee has done almost nothing relevant since the early 2000s and I wonder if it is even considered a choice coaching destination anymore. Who are they going to hire? Fans will clamor for John Gruden, Urban Meyer, Jim Harbaugh, Les Miles, Bob Stoops, or God forbid.... Peyton Manning. But they will undoubtedly have to settle for someone less like they settled for Butch Jones.

in college football regardless of what UT fans would have you believe.
UT fans have ALWAYS maintained a grossly over-inflated opinion of their team, and to further compound matters, they're almost as ignorant and deluded as $CU fans.

At least Tennessee has some trophies in their trophy case though.
I think Tee Martin or Jim Bob Cooter would be very interesting hires that would fly under the radar and not be the "sexy" pick, but two pretty talented coaches with Tennessee ties. That's what they need to go for.
