Against the run, the DL was the strongest point of the Defense last year, especially in the redzone. Add the same kind of pressure that was displayed during the bowl game, the DL will be a total package.

Brooks is probably pushing him and Reader the hardest to take that second starting job. It'll be interesting to see who wins it.

Ok,
its not really "concern", but more of wondering if he would be able to break the 2 deep in 2013-which I don't. Therefore...I think he redshirts; Just can't see him beating out any of our top 4 or 5 DTs.
PLUS...
watching his film (if I'm not mistaken) he played a lot of different positions in HS. And not always lined up against bigger and stronger players.Sometimes even playing LB. That leads me to believe he may need a year or two to adapt to being a FULL TIME D-TACKLE.
Just my opinion.
But yea, I see him being a great player eventually..just not in 2013.
