BC had that long bowl win streak at one time until they left the Big East and the ACC ruined them VT and Miami.

In fairness...

BC isn't "all in" on much of anything (ice hockey perhaps). Boston is an awesome trip but BC was a terrible addition to the conference IMO.

Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

I think they have a good coach coming in***

I have been an ACC fan for a long time, but the conference needs new leadership. Everyone but Clemson has really made poor decisions when football is the concern. I would hate to loose him but D Rad needs to be the leading the ACC.

I don't give a care about the ACC but agree it definitely needs new leadership.

When it comes to the money train, the B1G and SEC are leaving the others behind. The last 10+ years, their commissioners had clear agendas to grow the pie and all members benefited. Conferences don't need to be balanced equally but at some point the current structure could buckle if the Power 5 became the Power 2 or 3.

If Oregon didn't have Phil Knight's money, I think the Pac 12 would be facing permanent irrelevance even if USC football had it's act together.

The ACC will take a hit when the b-ball programs at Duke and UNC decline when Coach K and Roy Williams retire, but it should be OK. It needs a leader with a plan to grow revenue and plunge it into improving facilities and recruiting.

When players start getting paid, that could further stress the weaker conferences if the schools end up footing a large part of the bill. But we just don't know yet what the end game is.
