I'm really looking forward to watching Ben Boulware

Apr 7, 2015, 7:07 PM

in a starting role this upcoming season. When he was on the field he flat out made plays and could be our #1 playmaker this year with Lawson, Kearse, and Alexander. Stewart was good but I honestly thought Boulware deserved more snaps than he was given. From what I saw in the Louisville when he picked up and slammed that 240 pound RB then stopped their RB on that 3rd or 4th down in crunch time and against Oklahoma when he had the pick 6 he is a very special talent. I really wished we could've redshirted him as a freshman though and have him for the next 3 years instead of the next 2 but if that's what they wanted, okay. The only significant play from him I remember that year was almost touching the ball on that punt against UGA, other than that it was just special teams it seemed like.

If I remember correctly during his recruiting process wasn't he not even Kevin Steele's radar? I think I remember hearing that once BV got here he offered Ben and he committed a little while later. That's a scary thought, may be why his defense in 2011 absolutely sucked.

The kid makes plays. Can't wait.
