If I were his recruiter, I wouldn't want him taking any more visits. But, if I'm this kid... or his father... I would encourage him to take the visits just because at that age you don't get a whole lot of free vacations.

I mean, it's ok to take other visits...just don't tell one school that they can count on you to be a part of their team, and then go give 4 other schools an opportunity to sign you.

Basically a verbal commitment means "uh, I'm thinking really hard about coming to your school".
