... I just read the Q&A with the mother. Here is what I took away from it:
Robert's mom:
"A family should be together. OK, boys I'm heading back to Nigeria for a few months. Hopefully, when I come back I'll have enough time to visit you all but I'm pretty busy so try to stay really close to each other. I don't have time to travel around and see you in different places. I can't be expected to invest enough time to understand your life experiences and see what has happened to you and how you've grown while I've been away. Robert, your father is busy at work so you should probably stay with friends. Denzel, I'm so glad you went to a school that is hundreds of miles away; Robert, just go where Denzel is it will make it easier for me. We are such a close knit family."

Let's do NOT under ANY circumstances, drive an hour or so up I-85 and just take a LOOK at the school that Robert committed to of his own volition while I was off busy doing my own thing in Africa as he grew up!
It's out of my way and I just DON'T have TIME for that sort of nonsense.
