If TL had just laid there for 10 seconds after the targeting

Jan 8, 2019, 2:23 PM

I feel like the booth would've reviewed the hit.

I'm not suggesting he should have done that, but I do think that would've helped get a review.

It should've at least been reviewed. Now, I do think it's BS to throw someone out of the game for that, but that just means the rule needs revised.

That you, Jake?

;)

He was a running back.

We'v seen defenders drop their heads to try and knock the ball loose all year without being flagged. Hard as it is to take it wasn't targeting, imo.

I've seen a lot less than that called.

They've gotta change the automatic ejection rule.

You need to have a warning for first offense that carries over for the entire season. Then the 2nd time is ejection for a half.

I think that'd be a fair change.

Jan 8, 2019, 2:32 PM

I think it's be unprecedented in that you'd have to set up a system for tracking these "warnings". Not difficult, I'm sure.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It would be really simple. You just put an asterisk

Jan 8, 2019, 2:36 PM

next to the guys who have had a warning.

It's only a few guys over the course of the season anyway.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I wouldn't say it was intentional, but it was

Jan 8, 2019, 2:50 PM [ in reply to He was a running back. ]

definitely targeting when you look at the rule.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

All plays are reviewed...

Jan 8, 2019, 2:25 PM

what you mean, is that they would have stopped play to review for a more significant amount of time.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Yes, they should've stopped play. Replay was poor by ESPN

Jan 8, 2019, 2:32 PM

last night.

Renfrow, for example, was killed during the 2nd series on the sideline. You couldn't see it on the live broadcast, but on the other broadcast they had great camera angles. Shoved out of bounds, clear PI.

I felt like the ESPN broadcast was trying to cover up a few controversial calls early.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

PI calls are not reviewable.***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I'm just speaking toward the ESPN broadcast.

Jan 8, 2019, 2:34 PM

Sorry, separate topic.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

They should have looked at the hit on Tee in the endzone

Jan 8, 2019, 2:47 PM

also.

He led with his helmet and was trying to take his head off.
