can't catch a break. Kearse with a separated shoulder. Hopefully it wasn't a dislocation or that could be a deal breaker for the season. Those can be nagging injuries, especially for a guy playing the safety position.

Gallman nailed him. Physical practices are great, but it certainly beats you up. Especially the "skinny" DBs.

of missed time. It could be season ending, but it looks like a minimum of 4-6 weeks before football practice can begin again. Hope he is a quick healer.

I still have a day or so of severe discomfort from a separated shoulder playing tackle FB without any equipment in my teens. In the 60's playing tackle FB in just shorts and T's was just a thing. Eyes swollen shut, stitches, broken noses, and chipped or lost teeth was just a part of the game. Along with a broken collar bone I got once also. I'm probably wrong but, I believe that kids these days are softer than the kids in my day. I guess I say that because we didn't have helmets and shoulder pads when we played neighbor hood football. We just played in what ever cloths we wore from the house that day. And most of the time, that was only shorts, T's, and bare footed.:)

one day (speared,if you will) i literally thought i broke my neck. saw another friend get his leg wrapped around a little pine tree, tore his acl. man, we sure had some good times.(they really were)
