entire dock ramps, maybe a dozen dock floats, and tons of tree debris all up and down the main channel. Bass fishermen still doing 70 down the lake.

If you ever see that in salt water, DO NOT call the coast guard to tell them.

I did that ONCE on the VHF. I thought I was being a good Samaritan. They wanted my cell number, then called me back, asked me everything about my boat (home port, marina address, boat length/model, registration numbers, my location about 3x etc), then they wanted me to wait there with a floating pole in the water until they came out and verified it.

It was about to start storming and I told them it was lightning out and I wasn't waiting for them and hung up. Then they called back again about 2 hours later, and was asking where I was when they finally got there. Eff that. I'll never call them again.
